Presentation File
Use the Presentation File option to broadcast your existing presentation files. Manager converts each page in the file and broadcasts them to selected devices as a playlist. The following file types are supported for broadcast:
- PowerPoint (PPTX) files
- Portable Document Format (PDF) files
We recommend using the Resources page to upload the presentation file first so the file becomes available for broadcast. For more information about supported file types and how to upload them to Manager, see the article below:

Before broadcasting
Important reminders to keep in mind before adding your presentation file:
-
Only 1 presentation file allowed per broadcast
When broadcasting a layout with more than one section, only one section can contain a presentation file at a time. Adding a Presentation File to a new section will clear the other section of that file.
-
Max 40 slides per presentation file
A maximum of 40 slides / pages can be converted per presentation file.
-

Conversion results
Manager generates new files when converting a PowerPoint file for broadcast. You can find these files in the following locations:
Resources
All slides / pages are converted to images and saved in a folder named after the presentation file.
Playlist
A new playlist is created and takes the same name as the presentation file name, plus an added random string.
Post-conversion behavior
Additional details to keep in mind during and after conversion:
-
Conversion into a playlist
Manager converts each slide / page into an image and adds them to a playlist.- Broadcasting starts only after this file conversion is complete.
- To broadcast the same presentation file in the future, use the Playlist broadcast feature. Running the Presentation File feature again with the same file will create duplicate files and a new playlist.
-
Default duration per slide
The default display time for each slide is 40 seconds. To edit this duration, adjust the Duration for the desired slides.
-
Conversion runtime
Conversion time depends on file size and content. If you experience long conversion times or timeouts, reduce the file size. Certain contents, such as GIF file formats in slides, may also slow conversion times.
