Layouts
Specify a Layout that defines the placement of your selected media during a broadcast. Users can switch between landscape and portrait options. If no layout is selected, Manager defaults to showing only one media which takes up the full screen during the broadcast.

Select a layout
To access the broadcast page to create a layout, perform the following:
- Go to the Devices page.
- Select one or more devices in the list.
- Click the Send broadcast button.
The Send broadcast page opens.
- Click the Layout tile.
- The Layout page should appear.
Set layout options
On the Layout page, provide the following details:

Layout
Select a Layout option:
- Select a Layout.
By default, all options here are for Landscape mode.
Click
Portrait mode to see options for vertical layouts.

- Click Add content on the panel where the media should appear. Select an option from the dropdown menu. All layout sections support the insertion of multimedia (image, video, or audio), playlists, web pages, text, and presentations.

Basic Settings
Select the broadcast duration:-
Continuous.
Shows the content until device users dismiss the broadcast, or a Manager admin stops the broadcast.

Custom.
Sets a custom duration for the broadcast. The broadcast automatically stops once the duration has been reached.

Advanced settings
The following options are available:-
Forbid device user from stopping broadcast
Enable to prevent users from stopping the broadcast manually. If not checked, users can stop / hide / dismiss a broadcast from displaying on their device even if the Continuous or Custom duration was set.

Continue broadcast when device is online
Resend message to devices that went offline, but have reconnected again, as long as the End time condition has not been met.

Forbid device user from stopping broadcast

Scrolling ticker
Adds a text layer over the broadcasted media for displaying a short message alongside the visual content. Long messages will scroll and loop indefinitely to show the full content. The following options are available:

Position
Specify the location of the ticker banner.

Content
A free-text field for the ticker message and allows up to 512 characters. To emphasize selected text, click the B icon to apply a bold format.

Message type
A style preset for the text banner to visually signal the message's urgency.

Speed
Controls how fast the text scrolls across the banner.

Position
Click Save, then use the live preview panel on the right to review how the broadcast will look with the ticker active.
Start the broadcast
Once you are satisfied with the content, click one of the following buttons:
Send Broadcast
Starts the broadcast.
Save as template
Create a template using the current settings that could be re-used later.
Back or Cancel
Return to the Broadcast page and select another broadcast type.
Broadcast behavior
Note the following behavior:
- The default layout option supports broadcasting only one media content. Select this layout to have your chosen media take up the entire screen.
- Aspect ratios for each section are fixed. Try to match image and video resolutions before hand to fit the sections you intend to insert them in.
- Note that you must use the Resources page to upload multimedia files first before it becomes available for broadcast. For more information about supported multimedia file types and how to upload them to Manager, see the article below:
Portrait mode
If you plan to broadcast in portrait mode:
- Before starting the broadcast, always verify that your target device has been physically rotated to the correct orientation, and has already been previously configured to present its display in Portrait mode.
- Portrait orientation is currently supported on the CDE30 device.
