Roster Students via Google Classroom

Import classes and student rosters to ClassSwift to streamline class management and ensure seamless integration with Google Classroom. Follow the steps below to complete the process.

Import Classes and Student Rosters

To import classes and student rosters from Google Classroom, perform the following steps:

  1. Log In 
    Log in to ClassSwift Hub and navigate to My Class.
  2. Access Google Classroom 
    Click the Google Classroom button in the top-right corner.

  1. Select Account 
    Choose the Google account to sync with Google Classroom.
  2. Grant Access 
    Grant ClassSwift access to your Google account.
    Note that this is a one-time process.
  3. Import Classes 
    Select the classes you want to import and click Import.
  4. Check Import Status 
    Monitor the import status in My Class:
    1. During the process, the Last Import Time will display IMPORTING.
    2. Once completed, the status will update to IMPORTED.
    3. Imported classes will appear in My Class with a Google Classroom icon.

Invite Students to Join 

To invite students to join a class, use one of the following options:

Post on Google Classroom

Use Google Classroom's Post feature to create an announcement directly on the class timeline.

  1. Click the three dots in the top-right corner of the class.
  2. Select Post on Google Classroom.

  1. Review the default announcement with the class link.
  2. Click Post to publish the announcement in Google Classroom.

Generate a link that you can share with your students.

  1. Click the three dots in the top-right corner of the class.
  2. Select Copy Link.

  1. Share the link through any communication platform you use with students.

Refresh Class Data from Google Classroom

If updates are made to a student or class roster in Google Classroom, refresh the data in ClassSwift by following these steps:

  1. Go to My Class and click the Google Classroom button.
  2. Click Refresh, select the updated class, and import it again.
