Google EDLA Setup Wizard
This guide walks you through the first-time set up of your ViewBoard EDLA device. Follow the steps below to get started and make the most of your EDLA device.
Before you begin
Get your ViewBoard ready by ensuring it’s updated and configured correctly. These pre-setup steps help prevent issues later.
- Make sure your device is running the latest firmware version.
- Update via OTA if you're running an older version.
- We recommend creating separate profiles for each user and using PIN codes for security.
- Skip Google Drive sign-in during the setup wizard to avoid unnecessary sync issues.
Start the Setup Wizard
Use the First-Time Setup Wizard to get your ViewBoard up and running. This process includes basic configuration, network setup, and security options.
To begin, power on your ViewBoard and perform the following:
- Wait for the First-Time Setup Wizard to load.
- To change the language shown on the wizard, tap English (United States) and select another language from the options.
- Once you're ready, tap Start to begin the process.

Connect to Wi-Fi or tap Set up offline to skip. Note the following:
- We recommend setting up Wi-Fi so your device is already connected after the setup is complete.
- This option is not presented if the device already has an ethernet connection.
- If you selected Set up offline, you must manually set up the date and time.

On the Copy apps & data screen, tap Don’t copy to skip this step.

On the next screen, sign in to a Google Account or tap Skip twice to proceed.
