Auto-signin on myViewBoard app

Use Companion for instant sign-in to your myViewBoard app via Companion's QR code login feature.

 

Prerequisites

Verify first that your myViewBoard app meets the conditions below:

  • Both myViewBoard 2.0 and myViewBoard 3.0 are supported.
  • The device running myViewBoard is connected to a stable network that has access to the internet.

 

Sign in process

Once you are sure that your myViewBoard app supports Companion sign in, Follow the steps below:

 

On the Companion app:

First, sign in to the Companion app as Host to access the QR code scanner feature. 
 

  1. Launch the Companion app on your mobile device.
  2. Tap on the Host / IT Admin icon to sign in.  
  3. Use the popup to sign in with a ViewSonic admin account.  
  4. On the next screen, locate the QR code icon. 
    We will use this feature on the next section to perform the sign in.

On the myViewBoard app:

Afterwards, launch myViewBoard and load up the Sign In screen:

 

  1. Launch myViewBoard and ensure that it is connected to a network.
  2. Tap Sign In on myViewBoard's avatar menu. 
    Locate the QR code on the left. Note that every myViewBoard instance has a unique QR code.
     
  3. Now use the Companion app to scan this QR code.
    1. Tap the QR code icon to launch the device camera 
    2. This opens your device's camera app. 
    3. Grant permissions if needed. 
    4. Adjust the camera position so the the QR code is inside the scanning area.   
  4. A successful scan will trigger the sign in process on your myViewBoard app and start loading your settings.
