AOSP initial setup
This guide describes the initial setup, power management, and home screen customization for your ViewBoard. Follow the steps below to configure your device.
Power On the ViewBoard
Ensure your device is properly connected to power before attempting to turn it on.

Ensure the power cord is connected, plugged into a power outlet, and the power switch is in the “On” position.
Press the Power button to turn on the ViewBoard.
To turn the ViewBoard off, press and hold the Power button.
Perform the Initial Setup
Your ViewBoard launches the initial setup wizard on first run. Follow the on-screen prompts to configure your basic settings.

Select your Language.
Setup and verify your Network Connection.
Select your Time Zone to set the Date and Time.
Select your preferred System Mode.
Select your Power Saving plan.
Accept or Decline the Privacy and Copyright Protection Terms.
Customize vLauncher
Once setup is complete, your ViewBoard loads vLauncher.Â
Â
vLauncher is your central hub for applications and tools. You can customize the screen appearance and manage your most-used apps directly from this home screen.
Edit the Message
To personalize vLauncher's welcome message or secure it with a password, follow the steps below.

Tap the Title or Subtitle on the home screen to customize the text.
Tap on Set Password to create a password for the device settings.
Manage Applications
To create shortcuts on the home screen for quick access to installed applications, follow the steps below.

Tap the Down Arrow to view all installed applications.
Tap the Up Arrow to hide the application drawer.
Tap, hold, and drag any app icon to the first row to add a shortcut to an application.
Tap, hold, and drag any icon back to the app area to remove an application shortcut.
Use the side toolbarÂ
vLauncher comes with a side toolbar that provides easy access to several useful tools and applications.Â

Tap a Toolbar trigger icon on the side of the screen.
Tap on your desired tool icon to launch it.
