Factory reset

Perform a factory reset to restore the EDLA software to its original out-of-the-box condition. We recommend only doing this under the following situations:

 

  • You want to start configuration again from scratch
  • As a final troubleshooting step to resolve performance issues
  • The device will be retired or transferred to a different owner

 

 

Before proceeding:

  • Back up all content you want to save. This includes downloads, documents, or apps that will need to be restored after the reset.
  • Use the OTA feature to check if there are any updates for your specific hardware. Install any updates if needed.

 

 

Pre-requisites

The procedure below requires the following conditions:

 

  • The device is using the EDLA launcher as the active scheme.
  • The current profile is set to the Owner account. The Factory Reset option is only available under the Owner account.  

 

 

Procedure

To perform the factory reset, follow the steps below. 

 

First, switch the current user to the Owner profile. 

Launch the Settings app and select the following:

  1. Tap System on the left panel.
  2. Tap Reset options on the right panel.
    This will usually be the last option here.

Tap Erase all data (factory reset).

Reset PIN Verification

Re-enter your PIN, then tap Confirm.

Reset PIN Verification

Tap Erase all data to proceed.

Reset Final Confirmation

The device reboots afterwards.

 

After the reboot, the Setup Wizard should start again.
