Manager integration
Manager is pre-installed on all EDLA devices which means you can manage devices directly after setup. However, to ensure that Manager can run and implement all EDLA-related features properly, ensure that the following settings are enabled before adding your EDLA device in Manager.
Device Owner permission
Enable this option to allow Manager to access EDLA-specific settings of your device.
Permission

Select this option during setup.
Enabled

Manager shows Device Owner enabled if option is active.
Disabled

Manager shows Device Owner disabled if option is not available.

Important
This option can only be enabled during initial setup. If this option was not enabled during the initial setup, you must perform a factory reset to trigger the initial setup again.
Skipping this option will still allow the device to be added successfully to your Manager instance, but some EDLA-related features may not be available.

Launch the Setup Wizard again After the Setup Wizard launches again, ensure that the permission is enabled once you get to the Manager Permission screen. For more information, refer to the article below: |
Enable Developer Options
Some advanced configurations require Developer Options to be enabled first. The steps below use the VPC-A31-O1 as an example, but the steps should be similar for other EDLA models as well.
Launch the Settings app.
Once the app opens:
- Tap About device on the side menu.
- Locate Build number on the right panel.

Tap Build number seven times.

Enter the device PIN when prompted.

If successful, a confirmation message appears:
You are now a developer!

Enable ViewSonic Service Pages & Multi-User Switcher
Once you have access to Developer Options, enable the following options to unlock additional integrations with Manager.
- ViewSonic Service Pages
- Multi-User Switcher
For Google Launcher
Follow the steps below for devices that have the Google Launcher as its home screen.
Launch the Settings app.
Once the app opens:
- Tap System on the side menu.
- Tap Developer options on the right panel.

On the next screen, locate and tap the following options to turn them on:
- ViewSonic Service Pages
- Google Multi-User Switcher

For ViewBoard Launcher
Follow the steps below for devices that use ViewBoard Launcher as its home screen.
First, use the remote control of the device to open the FactoryMenu panel:
- Press Input
- Press 9 9 1
- The FactoryMenu panel appears.

Then back on your device, locate and tap the GENERAL SETTING entry.

On the next screen, tap to activate the following options:
- ViewSonic Service Pages
- Google Multi-User Switcher

All changes are saved automatically. Verify that both entries show ON as the status.
