Deploy to IFPs

For mass deployment to Interactive Flat Panels (IFP) devices, we recommend using Manager to deploy both the new myViewBoard app and the Quiz Tool component directly to the IFP. This ensures that teachers won't need to wait for the component download to complete when activating Quiz Tool for the first time.  

Pre-requisites

Before proceeding, ensure that the target devices meet the following requirements:

• The IFP is enrolled and can receive commands from the entity's Manager portal.
• The IFP is running a version of Android that supports myViewBoard 3.0.

Deployment via Manager

Manager's App section will offer both the new myViewBoard app and the Quiz Tool component in supported regions. For instructions on how to deploy these apps using Manager, see the article below:

Verify successful deployment

Since the Quiz Tool does not appear in the App tray after deployment, admins must perform the following to verify successful installation:

1. Tap Settings to launch the settings app.
2. Tap Apps then tap See all apps. 
3. Scroll down and locate the myViewBoard Quiz Tool entry. 

Note the following behavior:

• The Quiz Tool listed in the All apps list cannot be used on its own, and must be started from within myViewBoard. 
• The Quiz Tool will not be available as an installation option in Manager in non-supported regions.
