Quiz collection

The Quiz collection feature allows teachers to deliver up to 20 questions in a single sequence. This removes the need to trigger questions individually.

Prepare questions

To prepare a quiz collection, complete the following steps:

1. Log in to the myViewBoard Hub portal.
2. Navigate to the Quiz Collection tab.
   1. Create a folder. 
   2. Upload (or move) all questions that will be used in the quiz. 

Note the following behavior:

• Questions inside the Home section will not be available during a live quiz.
• To make a question available for selection, move them to a folder.
• A Quiz collection can contain only the following question types:
  • True/False 
  • Multiple Choice 
  • Short answers

Start a Quiz

To start a quiz collection during a session, follow these steps:

1. Click the Quiz Tool toggle to show more icons.
2. Click the Quiz collection icon to open a new popup.
    
3. On this new popup:
   1. Select the folder containing your quiz content.
   2. Select questions to include in the quiz. 
   3. A number indicates the order these questions will appear.
       
4. Click the Start Questions button. 

Use the following features to make selecting questions easier:

• Use the Types and Time filters at the top to narrow the list, or Reset to clear filters.
• Check the box on each question you want to include. Selected questions are numbered in the order they are picked (1, 2, 3...), which is the order students will see them in.
• The footer shows how many questions have been selected. 

Collect responses

Once launched, all selected questions go live at once, and the Question popup switches to live monitoring view:

• A header shows how many questions are in progress.
• A timer counts up from 00:00:00 for the whole session.
• The Responses panel lists each student and updates as they answer.
• Use Hide Responses if you'd rather not show live status
• Use Refresh to update the list manually.

Students will see the following options on their devices: 

• One question at a time 
• Navigation guides at the bottom to move between questions
• A Submit all button to turn in their answers 
• Students can answer questions in any sequence before submitting

To end the quiz, click the Stop submissions button.

Review reponses

The Question popup updates to a summary screen that:

• Lists all the questions side by side. 
• Shows a correct-rate percentage (for questions that require correct answers) 
• Shows response count (for Short answer types) 

Click View responses on any question to load the Response view. This view has the following options: 

• Use the Overview tab for overall statistics on class-wide results.
• Use the Student responses tab for individual answers. 
• Use the Previous and Next buttons below to navigate between questions.
• Use the All questions button to go back to the summary screen.

In the Student responses tab: 

• Answers stay hidden by default so students don't see each other's answers early. 
• Tap each individual response card to reveal the responses one at a time. 

Review answers with the class or transition into a discussion. Use the following interactive features to facilitate class activity.

Closing the quiz

Once the quiz is over, perform the following:

1. On the Question  window, select the Close icon to dismiss. 
2. On the Join Class window, select the Close icon to dismiss. 
3. Select End to confirm.
